Dearborn is the folk/pop/soulful sound of a sister trio navigating the waters of being young and human. Expect to hear honest words and genetically perfected harmonies.

Singer/Songwriter Susy Sun is a breath of fresh air in the hustle and bustle of music today. She writes indie folk music with a pop twist, and uniquely blends her original piano compositions to create art that has elegantly taken hold of the attention of music lovers of all genres.

Samsel and The Skirt officially became a band in the early part of 2011, however Cary and Kelsey have been a singing duo in the Portland live music scene for the past few years. They play there melodies everywhere from coffee shops to The Cascade Blues Festival. They are versatile, playing as just a duo or playing as a five-piece band.

That time of the quarter is upon us once again.  While we know you dread, finals we also know misery loves company. We are happy to extend our hours beginning this Sunday. Our hours will be as followed the next week.

Finals week sucks, but we’ll have Stumptown Coffee and Macrina Bakery pastries to help you through it. It’s part of us being your Neighborhood Cafe.

This year, we want to return our focus to serving our customers and community as best as we possibly can. For us that means being encouraging and receptive to feedback, even if it can be humbling to hear. As such, we have decided that our customers felt like we could work to improve our selection of baked goods. Upon an investigative process, we have decided to no longer carry “I Can’t Believe It’s Vegan” pastries. We would like to thank them for their partnership over the years, and communication with us.

I believe that it is important that we sell and produce a product, that we can believe in and I think the switch indicates as much. I believe that pairing Macrina Bakery with Stumptown Coffee enables us to present a visible quality brand with visible quality products.

The Q Cafe is proud to welcome back the sounds of Michelle Lang and stillwater back to the Q Cafe.  This show will be March 15th, $7 at the door at 7pm.

The music of Michelle Lang and Still Water is an urban-contemporary blend of R&B, Hip-Hop and Soul wrapped around a sound Gospel message. Energetic, Exciting, Fun, Insightful and Honest Music… those are just some of the ways people have been describing this highly skilled and much sought after group from Seattle, Washington.

Also performing will be Kyn Mahone and Isaac Meyer.

The Q Cafe is proud to bring you a 3rd concert in 3 weeks.  This time featuring Rococode and Darkpine on March 8th @ 7:30 pm. Doors are a 7, Tickets will be $10.

Rococode is an unfamiliar band made up of familiar faces. This is a band you have never heard of, but if you are a fan of independent Canadian music it is likely that you have seen its members on stages of various sizes across the country and beyond. They strive to create music that is equal parts arty, accessible, sexy, sweet, badass, bent and beautiful. Based in Vancouver, BC, Rococode is fronted by the dueling vocals of Andrew Braun and Laura Smith and propelled by the powerful rhythm section of Johnny Andrews (Tegan & Sara) and Shaun Huberts (Tegan & Sara).

Darkpine is a talented experimental Rock band from Seattle.
