Utilizing Our Space
Whether it is a small office meeting, a community gathering, a little party, or a large event, we hope to do our part in providing you with a welcoming and warm environment. Renting the Q Café not only offers a great space for your event, but it also supports us in our efforts to be a consistent presence in our neighborhood!
The Main Café
The Q Café’s main room can comfortably host up to 150 people, with our maximum capacity being 215 (typically standing room only for concerts) when needed. Our aim is to limit rentals to times that will not conflict with our normal coffeeshop’s hours of operation, but we can be flexible in special circumstances! Typically, we see private parties, dances, concerts and large-scale events in this space — and we can fairly quickly convert our normal café space into many different configurations (with your help) to accommodate dancing, to dining, or whatever you’re dreaming!
Our rate for the main café room is typically set at $150/hr, with a minimum 3hr rental (we do charge for time required for setup/cleanup), and will require a separate, fully-refundable security deposit to hold your event’s date/time.*
The Conference Room
Our conference room can accommodate smaller groups between 10-20 people as needed, and provides a more private space in which small groups can meet, business meetings can be conducted, or private calls and interviews can be held.
Our rate for the conference room is typically set at $30/hr, with a minimum 1hr rental, and may require a separate, fully refundable security deposit to hold your event’s date/time.*
Using the Main Café During Business Hours
If you’re looking for space to have small, informal gatherings, without needing to pay for the rental of space, perhaps utilizing the main café during our normal hours of operation could be sufficient for you? We regularly have small gatherings of business associates, team members, clubs, classes, etc., meet within the main café at no cost. All we ask is that:
1. Please be considerate of our other patrons! Try to not be overly distracting to our other guests!
2. If your group will be larger than 7-10 people, please call ahead and double-check with the barista.
3. If your group plans to be in the café for an extended stretch of time, please let the barista know.
4. Finally, help us maximize the remaining available space in the café (ie, don’t vulture every couch and comfy chair just for your group)!
We love hosting impromptu meetings and groups, and want you to feel welcomed here. By supporting the café through bar sales, and inviting new patrons to the café (free advertising for us), we hope to continue to provide our space tomeet your needs!
* The Q Cafe remains supportive of non-profit and community groups and is happy to discuss adjusted rates as needed
