New Staff

With new changes coming in the new year, I would like to introduce myself as the new manager!

Hello all Q Cafe patrons, fans, and friends!

I am Michael Chew, the new Q Cafe manager.  I am a Pacific Northwest Native, originally hailing from Mercer Island, WA.  I attended Seattle Pacific University studied Global Development from 2006-2010, where I became familiar with the Q Cafe as a study/work refuge during my Senior year.  As a frequent patron, I maintained pleasant relationships with many of the staff over the years.  In April 2012, I was asked to consider helping the Cafe as a volunteer intern.  I eventually accepted the offer, and learned a lot about the Cafe, and grew passionate about seeing it’s success.  After some transitions among the staff, I accepted the offer to be Cafe manager, leaving behind my roles at Costco and One Day’s Wages.  I am excited for the new challenge of being a manager, and also humbled by the exceptional ability of our previous managers (Jake, Brian, and Anita).   I would love to meet you all, and introduce myself more in person.  For now, all I can do is promise that I will stay loyal to vision and passion that has gotten us this far, and promise I will do everything in my power to ensure your time at Q Cafe is the best Coffee, Art, Live Music experience to date.  I really appreciate all feedback, and support.
